THIS LAST SATURDAY GGE AND FRIENDS DESCENDED ON TERROR TACOS WITH AN APPETITE! TERROR TACOS IS A VEGAN RESTAURANT AT 3191 S GRAND BLVD IN STL WITH A FLAIR FOR HORROR! SUPER COOL ATMOSPHERE WITH METAL MUSIC AND GOOD FOOD! WHILE WE WERE THERE WE TRIED OUT THE NACHOS WHICH WERE PILED MUCH HIGHER THAN WE EXPECTED! WE ALSO PICKED UP A FEW COOL STICKERS AND TRIED LIQUID DEATH FOR THE FIRST TIME! EVERYONE SPENT THEIR TIME VISITING AND CATCHING UP SINCE MANY OF US HAD NOT SEEN ONE-ANOTHER SINCE 2020! WE TALKED LIFE CHANGES, ABOUT OUR FOOD, CAREERS, MUSIC, AND COMPLAINED OF THE COLD (AS IS STANDARD HERE IN THE MIDWEST.)

St. Patrick’s Day

This St. Patrick’s Day Mystic showcased her 2nd livestream DJing! The event was about an hour long and featured Native American artists as well as industrial, darkwave, and postpunk acts. Be on the look out for more events where Mystic may be joined by DJ Scarecrow Joe as he ventures into DJing for future events!

Coming this May two amazing events will be held back to back! Resurgence: After Earth on the 21st and a World Goth Day concert on the 22nd, in a yet to be disclosed location! Resurgence will feature DJs Packie and Mystic Packie is a popular, veteran EDM DJ that has a love for Postpunk and emo genres while Mystic is a co-founder of GGE. Mystic has played with the idea of DJing for some time but has finally decided to throw their hat into the DJing arena. Mystic has a love for postpunk and industrial as well as the many adjacent genres. Mystic also aims to introduce Native American artists from the punk and goth spheres around the country. Expect a high energy from them both!

Resurgence: After Earth will be held in The Mocktail Lounge and the event will be non-alcoholic therefore admittance will be 18+ instead of the usual 21+. This decision was made to be more inclusive and as a result of many requests by various members of the community who wish to pursue alcohol abstinence. Door fees will be $7 but a discount to $5 will be offered to those who show up with a DIY element to their outfit! (Be it a battle jacket, frankensteined/crust pants, or modded clothing or boots.) We want you to be yourself! Self expression is highly encouraged! Art is the life’s blood of our scene and we want to see more of it! Be fabulous, be a freak!
